You have been asked to bear darkness without losing hope for the return of the light. You have been asked to trust in your own heart wisdom when your mind was terrorized by nightmares and hallucinations of fear. And yet here you are – still loving, still wise – and ready for a love bigger than you have ever experienced before.”
Before I sat down to write this blog about synchronicity, I asked the Divine for the perfect passage from my Rumi oracle card deck. This is from the Cosmic Heart card, and it could not be more fitting. Do I need to even write anything else? 🙂
That passage describes my life for the past few months. I have been catapulted at rocket speed through this phase of spiritual growth. It has been so horribly painful – for me and those who love me and those who don’t. So many times I said, “I don’t want to do this anymore”.
I wanted to quit and just stay where I was. But, where I was at was a dark and scary place. I was in the midst of facing so many ugly parts of myself that needed to be healed and released. Jealousy, envy, resentment, anger, different fears, and one of the biggest blocks of mine – receiving and giving love freely.
Due to so many traumatic events and relationships, I had unwittingly built a wall around my heart to protect myself from rejection and pain. And so my mind resorted to anger towards various people and me. “If I am angry, I cannot love and then I will be safe.” Lunacy, right? Well, that’s what our ego mind does. Its purpose is to protect us, and it will stoop to the lowest levels to do so. And, the result is often the pain it was trying to prevent.
I fully believe that the Divine/God/Source has an ultimate plan for us. A life filled with love and joy and peace on Earth. Yet, this life is ours to choose. When we veer off course, synchronicities pop up. Many people call these coincidences. I believe everything happens for a reason – that reason being the beautiful life that awaits if we can just get out of our way and choose it.
Many months ago a friend of mine told me about a collaborative book that was looking for co-authors. As writing is my first love, I jumped at the opportunity to be an official published author! The book is the last of a series of 5. It is called 365 Soulful Messages – The Right Guidance at the Right Time. It is available today! And, I think it is no coincidence that the release is the same day as my deceased grandma’s birthday. She would have loved this book for sure!
I have submitted 2 essays for this book. One is about how particular synchronicities saved my life. Now, I had submitted the title as “changed my life”, but it was published as “saved”. I have been pondering the “why” of that, knowing there was a divine reason for it. And, after writing this blog, I just was given the answer. I’ll let you read the essay and leave it to you to discern.
